Who I AM
I recently graduated from Yale University cum laude with distinction in English. I have taken significant coursework in Statistics and Data Science, Latin, Classics, and French. In 2021, I graduated as valedictorian from Heathwood Hall Episcopal School in Columbia, South Carolina. I received a 5 on 9+ AP Exams and a 36 on the ACT.
I am passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals. Previously, I’ve worked at Heathwood Hall Episcopal School, leading three summer camps for elementary and middle school students.
I have tutored students in AP Latin, the ACT, middle and high-school reading comprehension, and high-school essay writing.
Currently, I am based in New Haven, CT.
WHAT I DO
I specialize in college essay coaching. I am a published fiction writer and journalist (West Branch, Meridian, Modern Poetry in Translation, Washington Square Review, Best Microfiction 2021, The Yale Daily News, The Toledo Blade).
I deeply believe that everyone has a unique story to tell.
In the 2024-25 admissions cycle, my essay coaching clients were admitted to Yale University, the University of Chicago, the University of Pennsylvania, Cornell University, Duke University, Johns Hopkins University, and the University of Florida Honors.
In the 2023-24 admissions cycle, my clients were admitted to Duke University and the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
As a high school student, I was admitted to Princeton University, Yale University, the University of Pennsylvania, Duke University, Columbia University (with a likely letter), and the University of Virginia, among others.
